This was the first session for a family who have signed up for my Baby’s First Year session package. I did this session at their home, which I just loved. Mom has great taste, and I completely envy her Etsy purchases!

I am a photographer in Portland Oregon, specializing in newborns, babies, children, and family portraits though I've been known to photograph some seniors and weddings as well! I've been in business for over 5 years now, ensuring technical prowess along with experience getting little ones to be comfortable in front of the camera. You have your choice of where to do your session-- it can take place at my SE studio, at your home (great for newborns and I bring all the studio gear!) or at a local outdoor location. As a mom myself, I am patient and give plenty of time for each session to allow for snacks, meltdowns and potty breaks. Feel free to browse this and my main website if you want more information.
I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures from my recent photo sessions!

This session was done in the evening, and I was so happy to get a chance to shoot in the good light. We did this back in June, so everything was green and lush and just so pretty. I did this family’s portraits several years ago when the youngest was just a baby, so it was fun to see them again and capture the amazing sibling relationship these kids have.

Twins! I photograpahed these little boys at their home. We did some with big brother, but he not only had new twin brothers but he was sick! Luckily we still got some really sweet ones of them all together. Most of the focus was on the twins themselves. These two loves being cuddled right up next to each other for the pictures.
I already knew this mom to be as her daughter was in my Baby’s First Year plan. Now another baby will soon be arriving, and she decided to do a maternity session. Mini maternity sessions can be added onto a Baby’s First Year plan for $100; they are perfect when you just want a few pictures to document your pregnancy.
I got inspired by the cover of Glamour mag using tin foil as the backdrop. I decided I had to try this for myself! Portland model Alexa and makeup artist Christine Marie helped me create the look in the studio.
well, the sun has been few and far between this month. i’ve had so many planned outdoors sessions as well. Luckily if you have to be out in late morning or mid-day, its actually much better when its really overcast. The best time for sunny photos is in the early evening. But for this session, we were out on a surprise sunny day at 1pm. There is a nice little park by my photography studio that has some old trees, flowers, and some interesting brick that has enough shade to photograph a slow moving child any time of day. We tucked this sweet little boy into some good spots I found before the session, and then finished up with a few more in his front yard.
This little guy was about 10 days old, and slept for most of the session until hunger striked. The secret to his deep sleep is keeping his parents awake at night!
I forgot to blog anything from this session! Mom brought so many cute things to this session; head pieces, jewelry, blankets. She sells jewelry on Etsy and accessorizing was clearly in her wheelhouse. She also has 3 lucky girls, whom I am pretty sure get to enjoy many pretty girly things! Here are just a couple from her session:
I don’t always shoot babies! I wanted to do a session to capture the energy of dancing and a night out. I got Sports Unlimited’s Megan M. and my fav makeup artist Christine Marie to help me out. Here are my results.
